Artworks is a summer program for 8-12 year olds that offers art activities for kids. Since the emphasis is on process rather than product, Artworks is beneficial for all children, with or without experience in the arts. Children are encouraged to explore and discover their own interests and talents.

Students may participate in kids' music, dance classes, visual arts, and theatre. The children choose a major and two additional areas of study in which they spend four hours of class time daily. Games, field trips and cookouts are also part of the Artworks experience. Showcases for parents at the end of each session provide an opportunity for the students to display what they have learned.

The day camp takes place at Stage Center, 400 W. Sheridan, in downtown Oklahoma City. Two three-week sessions are held, one in June and one in July. This is the twenty-third year for Artworks in Oklahoma City.

Artworks students are aged 8-12 and come from all over the metro area as well as Norman, Moore, Edmond, Shawnee, Blanchard, Guthrie, Lexington, etc.. They represent all socio economic groups and levels of expertise in the arts. There are 70 to 80 students enrolled in each session. All Artworks activities are held in facilities that meet ADA requirements.
